Expressions of Interest (Tender)

The Manx Cable Company Limited (MCC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Manx Utilities Authority. The Manx Utilities Authority is a statutory authority providing electricity, wholesale natural gas and clean water and processes waste water on the Isle of Man.

The Manx Cable Company’s subsea fibre optic cable is used for controlling the high voltage equipment at the Bispham substation as well as bringing the safety critical and commercial data required for the day to day operation of the high voltage cable.

British Telecom provide and Ethernet from Bispham to their site in Manchester Manx Utilities would like to engage the services of a suitable service provider to cover the provision of the service from Manchester to Lord Street substation.

Should you feel that your organisation can fulfil these requirements and you wish to participate in this tender exercise please Express an Interest on the Isle of Man Government Procurement Portal at the following website. Please select ‘Register’ from the menu on the left side of the Home Page.

Once you have registered your organisation you should select this tender from the list of ‘Current Tenders’ and ‘View Details’ then click ‘Express an Interest’ at the bottom of the page. Once you have expressed an interest, the ‘Form of Acknowledgement’ document will become available to complete. In order to progress to the next stage you will need to complete the ‘Form of Acknowledgement’ document before the Expression of Interest deadline detailed below.

Expressions of interest must be submitted through the above Portal by noon Monday 4th March 2019.

The closing date for questions on the Portal is 12 noon on Monday 18th March 2019.

The closing date for the return of your quotation through the Portal is 12 noon on Monday 1st April 2019.
