Balladoole – Ground Mounted Solar Feasibility

The aim is to deliver ground mounted solar generation at Balladoole, next to our Balladoole Sewerage Treatment Works in Ramsey, supplying electricity directly into the Island’s power system.

March 2026: Following submission of the prefeasibility study, we’re preparing for the next stage of scoping at Balladoole which will include an ecological appraisal. This work will examine the site’s ecological suitability and help shape options for a future ground mounted solar development. Balladoole remains a potential contributor to our solar rollout strategy.
