Sulby Reservoir – Floating Solar Feasibility

The aim is to deliver a floating solar farm on Sulby Reservoir, supplying electricity directly into the Island’s power system.

March 2026: Work is moving forward on the feasibility of a floating solar array at Sulby Reservoir. Ecological and water quality assessments are now in progress, with specialist surveys due for completion over the coming weeks. These studies will help us understand whether floating solar can be safely and sensitively deployed at this important site as part of our larger solar ambition.
