Electricity Faults

Have you lost your electricity supply? Before contacting us;

Trip Switch: please check if your trip switch is off, if so, reset it – this may restore your power. If it trips again, it is likely to be an internal issue and one of your appliances may be the issue. You will need to disconnect any faulty appliance before the trip will reset. We would be happy to assist you through this process.

Prepay account: If you have run out of credit, you will disconnect and need to top up before a reconnection will be triggered. Your balance must be at least £1 in credit before you can reconnect.

Part power loss: if you have power to part of your property then we are getting power to you and it is likely there is an internal issue. You or your landlord (if relevant)  will need to contact your own electrical contractor to resolve the issue.

Neighbours power: if you find that your neighbours are also off supply then we recommend you contact us in the first instance.

Check social media for any service interruption updates – we try to be as responsive as possible on our platforms to keep everyone updated on interruptions and restoration times.

Water Faults

If you have no water or have low water pressure there are some basic checks you can do before contacting us

Stop tap: most properties have an internal stop tap (though some may only have an external one) – check this has not been turned off. If it is on, turn it all the way off and back on as occasionally air in the system will cause low pressure and this may resolve the issue.

Neighbours: some properties have a shared supply with a shared stop tap and it is worth checking if your neighbours have turned off water if carrying out work or repairs to their property

Check social media for any service interruption updates – we try to be as responsive as possible on our platforms to keep everyone updated on interruptions and restoration times.

Wastewater Faults

Blocked drains? Before contacting us;

Where is the blockage: If the blockage only affects your property, or you don’t share a drain with another property, it is likely to be your private drainage pipes; a plumber or drainage contractor can help clear them. If the blockage affects more than one property, or there is widespread sewer flooding, please contact us to attend.

Surface water drains: When drains with grids on the road get blocked the Highways Division of the Department of Infrastructure can be contacted to clear them.

Dropped an item down the sink: Jewellery and personal items can sometimes be flushed away by accident. If you think it could be stuck in the u-bend a plumber may be able to help retrieve it. Once an item gets into the main sewer would not be possible for us to find it.
