EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (QUICK QUOTE)

INERTING/PURGING NATURAL GAS EQUIPMENT AND ATMOSPHERE SAMPLING AND TESTING TRAINING

The Manx Utilities Authority is a statutory authority providing electricity, wholesale natural gas, clean water and processes wastewater on the Isle of Man. This means that Manx Utilities is a wholly owned statutory authority of the Isle of Man Government.

The Authority invites expressions of interest from suitably experienced and capable training providers to undertake training to personnel as part of the authorisation process for ‘Inerting/Purging’ and ‘Atmosphere Testing’. This training must include safe implementation of work of this nature including the selection and use of gas detection equipment, particularly in relation to:

  • Inerting/purging natural gas process equipment
  • Assessment of atmospheres for confined space entry
  • Assessment of atmospheres in hazardous areas (primarily natural gas & ammonia)

This training is required to be delivered on site at facilities provided by Manx Utilities on the Isle of Man to ensure efficient delivery to candidates.

Please select ‘Register’ from the menu on the left side of the Home Page.

Once you have registered your organisation you should select this ‘Quick Quote’ from the list of ‘Current Tenders’ and ‘View Details’ then click ‘Express an Interest’ at the bottom of the page.

Once you have expressed an interest a new tab called ‘Quote Documents’ will become available where you can download all the necessary information.

The closing date for the receipt of Expressions of Interest on the Portal is 12 noon on Wednesday 21 January 2026.

The closing date for the return of your quotation through the Portal is 12 noon on Wednesday 28 January 2026.
