The security and confidentiality of your information is very important to us.  To protect it from access by unauthorised persons, against unlawful processing, destruction and damage we will:

 

  • Only ask you for what is needed
  • Have safeguards  in place to ensure  personal information is kept and disposed of  securely
  • Work inline with the Isle of Man Government information security policies, and industry best practice standards; maintain security and are compliant on systems that hold personal data
  • Only authorised staff are able to view your information, and ensure that anyone working with us (processors) also work to the same standards
  • Comply with requirement of the PCI (Payment Card Industry) Security Standards Council
  • Not sell or make your information available for commercial use
  • Comply with the requirements of the information commissioner

Personal information is held on Manx Utilities servers, within the Isle of Man Government Data Centres.  Other system providers where it is possible  to ensure that your information remains within the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man, UK or the wider European Economic Area (EEA). We currently do not knowingly transfer information outside the EEA, although some software providers may do so, this is managed under their standard contract clauses.
