Where we monitor communications, our website and CCTV
If you contact us by telephone your call may be recorded for training, quality control and service related purposes, you will be notified of this. This includes maintaining high quality standards offering protection to Manx Utilities staff and customers, the recording of trading transactions and Control room switching, to ensure employees comply with legal obligations and our policies and practices.
We also monitor email communications and social media platforms, and may restrict delivery under certain circumstances.
We have installed CCTV systems in some of our premises used by staff, members of the public, for the purposes of public and staff safety and crime prevention and detection. They are also installed in our unmanned sites and development locations for the purposes of public and staff safety, crime prevention and detection, and the abuse of Manx Utilities services.
In all locations, signs are displayed notifying you that CCTV is in operation and providing details of who to contact for further information about the scheme. CCTV images will not be released to the media or placed on the internet for any other purpose.
