Potable Water Service Reservoir for Jurby
Manx Utilities has received planning permission to construct a new 0.75 Million Litre Potable Water Service Reservoir and Pump Station, off the A14 Ballamenagh Road, adjacent to the ex-RAF Parade Ground in Jurby.
In conjunction with the new pipeline recently installed in the area the £2.9 million project will improve the quality of supply to existing customers and support and deliver the essential fire-fighting requirements of the IOM Fire & Rescue Service for the industrial estate and surrounding areas. The installation will also enable future expansion of Jurby including the developments identified within the Area Plan for the North and West.
It is planned that construction will commence in the summer of 2024 and is expected to take 6 months. The location of the site is such that the impact on local residents will be minimal.
